What
is the Maryland Children's Health Program?
This
program gives free and low cost health
care to children and pregnant women in
families with low to average incomes.
What
medical services are covered?
Doctor visits, hospital care, dental
care, vision, prescription medications,
transportation to medical appointments (if
you do not have any other means of
transportation).
What
are the requirements?
State of Maryland resident and family
income less than approximately:
$26,400 for a family of two; $33,200 for a
family of three;
$40,000 for a family of four; $45,800 for
a family of five.
How
do I apply:
Maryland Children's
Health Program (MCHP) applications are
available at the Kent County Health
Department, local doctors' offices,
businesses and government offices or call
410-778-7035 to have an application
mailed.
Assistance
is provided by the Health Department in
completing the application. Mail
(or drop off) the completed application

insurance for children under the age of 19
if eligible with a monthly premium.
What
are the requirements?
State of Maryland

$39,600 for a family of 2; $49,800 for a family of 3;
$60,000
for a family of 4; $70,200 for a family of
5.
How
do I apply?
Complete a
Maryland Children's Health Program (MCHP)
application and answer YES to question #6.

application mailed. Assistance is provided

This program helps individuals
with health insurance problems and
provides assistance in finding a health
insurance plan.
